Maria McDonald was born in 1999 and her studio is located at Second April Studios in Canton, OH. She earned her BFA in painting from Kent State University in 2023. Her first solo show consisted of her student work and was shown at the Studio M gallery at the Massillon Museum. She was featured on a Podcast where she spoke about her work and the show appeared in the Massillon Independent Newspaper. She has exhibited in a multitude of shows in galleries such as The Hub, FJ Kluth, and Patina (now Second April). She also teaches artists with mental disabilities at Silo Arts Gallery. She has also taught at Walsh University, taught workshops, classes at the Canton Museum of art, and works with ArtsinStark from time to time. She primarily works with oil paint and oil pastels on canvas. Her next solo show is June 5th at Second April Studios.
